The Tariff Comparison Rate (TCR) is the energy rate which is used to compare tariffs between different energy companies.
It was created by Ofgem to make comparing rates between suppliers clearer, simpler and easy. The TCR is calculated by combining the standing charge and the usage or unit rate per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The guideline consumption figures are 13,500 kWh of gas and 3,200 kWh of electricity per year whilst the standing charge is a fixed daily charge for each utility. As you can see the TCR for our suppliers is at a very competitive rate, and we are constantly on the hunt for better rates to pass on to you.
